Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions is a novel by Edwin Abbott Abbott in 1884 and informs the reader of the possibility and mathematical probability of multiple dimensions.

The paintings are reconstructions of paintings from the early 1990s. Due to the rise of algorithms and emerging technologies such as WebVR, the visual motif is again relevant.

This painting was nominated for the Koninklijke Prijs voor de Vrije Schilderkunst in 1997 and exhibited in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam.
